Crown Charity Trust has officially appointed Badewa Adeyemi as its new Managing Director, as announced in a statement signed by the Head of Corporate Affairs, Yusuf Mufutau.
Crown Charity Trust, a non-governmental organization, is dedicated to supporting local communities across Europe and Africa. Over the years, the Trust has made significant strides in empowering communities by sponsoring the tertiary education of over 150 underprivileged students in Nigeria. Additionally, it has provided startup funds to 500 businesswomen, helping them establish small-scale businesses within their local communities.
In a recent initiative, the Trust partnered with the Federation of Iwo Land Students Union (FILSU) to sponsor the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and General Certificate of Education (GCE) exams for five top-performing students in the Iwo community. The Trust also funded a summer lesson program organized by FILSU, benefiting all secondary school students in the area.
With Badewa Adeyemi’s appointment, the Trust aims to strengthen its leadership in Nigeria, focusing on its core mission to reduce the number of out-of-school children and alleviate poverty. His role will involve executing strategies that expand the Trust’s impact on education and community development.
Before taking up this new position, Badewa gained extensive experience in various industries. He previously worked as a bank manager, served as a call center manager at CNSSL Communication in partnership with MTN, and later became the General Manager at Royal FM, Ilorin. Currently, he is the General Manager of DiamondFM, Ilesa.
Badewa Adeyemi’s appointment is effective from Monday, September 9, 2024.
